Geneva City Golf Championship set for 9/7

Preparations for the 37th installment of the Geneva City Golf Championship are underway. The tournament’s organizational committee is seeking elibible members to participate.A senior division has been added this year. The yourny is open to golfers of all skill levels and ages who meet the following requirements:- Contestants must live or work in the town or city of Geneva or be members of the Geneva CC, Big Oak GC, or Seneca Lake CC.The cost is $50 per golfer. Two rounds of golf and two dinners following play are guaranteed.Opening round qualifying is scheduled for August 23 at Big Oak. The tourney will commence with a 8:00 am shotgun start. The top 15 scores will be flighted along with last year’s winner, Mike Moracco, and become part of the championship flight. The rest of the field will be flighted based on their handicap and qualifying score. All flights will consist of 8 golfers with the exception of the championship flight.Seneca Lake C.C. will host second round play on August 24. Golfers who qualify for the championship flight must play on this day.
