Seneca Falls Teens “OD” at Drugs and Booze Party

Seneca Falls Police Department Press ReleaseSaturday February 5th 2005, Seneca Falls Police received a report of a burglary at the Getty Gas Station at 170 Ovid Street that occurred over the weekend. During the burglary damage was done to the building and numerous alcoholic beverages were stolen from the premises. Sunday it was reported to the police department that someone had again attempted to burglarize the premises but had been unsuccessful in their attempts.Tuesday February 8th, 2005 at approximately 1240 AM Seneca Falls Police responded to 42 Spring Street for a report of several teenagers overdosed on prescription medication. Upon arriving police found several teenagers who had taken the prescription medication with alcohol and marijuana along with 23-year old Joshua A Rotunda and 26-year old Shaun Howell. At the scene Seneca Falls Police were assisted by Seneca Falls Rescue, North Seneca Ambulance and Finger Lakes Ambulance. Three teenagers were transported to Geneva General Hospital. As a result of this investigation the police department made the following arrests:Joshua A. Rotunda ,23, of 27 Tyler Avenue in Seneca Falls and Shaun M. Howell, 26, of 42 Spring Street in Seneca Falls were both arrested for three counts of Misdemeanor Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Misdemeanor Unlawfully dealing with a child in the 1st degree. Rotunda and Howell were issued appearance tickets and are schedule to appear in Town of Seneca Falls Court on the 24th of February 2005 at 10am.During the course of the investigation of prescription medication overdose, police were able to apprehend those responsible for the burglary at the Getty Gas Station and this lead to the following arrests:Adam R. Porter,16, of 3 Elm Street in Seneca Falls for Felony Burglary 3rd Degree, Misdemeanor Criminal Mischief 4th degree, Misdemeanor Petit Larceny, Misdemeanor Conspiracy 5th degree. Porter allegedly broke into the gas station initially causing damage to the building and then conspired with Jeffry K. Alvaro and an unnamed 13-year old juvenile to burglarize the gas station. The three then returned to the gas station, re-entered the building and stole alcoholic beverage from the premises. Porter was arraigned in Town of Seneca Falls Court and remanded to the Seneca County Jail in lieu of $2,000 cash bail /$4,000bail bond. Porter is scheduled to re-appear in Town of Seneca Falls Court on 15th of February at 9am.Jeffry K. Alvaro, 16, of 25 Peterman Road Apt. D3, in Seneca Falls was arrested for Felony Burglary 3rd Degree, Misdemeanor Petit Larceny, Misdemeanor Conspiracy 5th degree. Alvaro was arraigned in Town of Seneca Falls Court and remanded to the Seneca County Jail in lieu of $2000 cash bail/$4000 dollars bail bond. Alvaro is scheduled to re-appear in town of Seneca Falls Court on 15th of February at 9am.A 13-year old juvenile whose name has been withheld was arrested for Felony Burglary 3rd degree, Misdemeanor Petit Larceny, Misdemeanor Conspiracy 5th degree. The juvenile was transported to the Hopewell Youth Facility and will be returning to family court to face his charges.Shawn M. O’Donnell, 16, of 2136 Rt. 5&20 in Seneca Falls and Shannon M. Markel, 16, of 3 Seneca Circle in Seneca Falls were arrested for Misdemeanor Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 5th degree, and the violation of Alcohol Beverage Control Law Unlawful Possession of Stolen Property of Alcohol under the age of 21. O’Donnell and Markel were alleged in possession of alcoholic beverages that had been stolen from the Ovid Street gas station. Both were issued appearance tickets and are scheduled to appear in Town of Seneca Falls Court on 24th of February 2005 at 10am and were released to their parents.Joshua A Rotunda and Shaun Howell were both also arrested for Misdemeanor Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 5th degree. Rotunda and Howell were alleged to be in possession of alcoholic beverages that had been stolen from the Ovid Street Gas Station. Rotunda and Howell were issued appearance tickets and are scheduled to appear in the Town of Seneca Falls Court on 24th of February 2005 at 10am.
