Jones Out Of Congressional Race-Endorses Meier

From Press Release-11am Press Conference in People’s Park.*Republican Party Unites as Brad Jones Endorses Ray Meier for Congress.*Raymond A. Meier, the Republican Candidate for the 24^th Congressional District, received the support of former Republican Candidate Brad Jones. Jones officially withdrew from the Republican Party primary and endorsed Meier during a joint news conference held at the People’s Park in Seneca Falls.“Running for public office is one of the finest forms of public service a citizen can give. Brad has brought important issues to the forefront, such as the need for alternative energy to solve our nation’s energy problems and the importance of economic development. Brad has felt strongly that the pending land claim and trust application must be dealt with in a manner that protects innocent land owners and defends the rule of law.” Meier said.“I am pleased that Brad sees how my experience as a State Senator and a former county executive can help to build a strong Central New York and work best to find solutions to these problems.” Meier added.“Brad Jones has been an elected leader in Seneca Falls and the Chairman of the Seneca County Industrial Development Agency. I hope I will be able to turn to him throughout the campaign and, eventually, during my term in Congress for his insight.” Meier said.Today’s announcement means the Republican Party will be unified around one candidate, Ray Meier who has the experience, values and the vision which best reflects those in the 24^th district. Meier is now the only Republican candidate registered with the Federal Election Commission.
