Pilot Killed in Canandaigua Crash ID

A Madison County man was killed Thursday when he crashed a motorized glider on approach to the Canandaigua Airport. 63 year old Edward Keating of New Woodstock was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which happened just after 11:30 Thursday morning. Ontario County Sheriff Phil Povero says the aircraft struck a tree and crashed sourth of the runway. An FAA flight instructor, who was a passenger, was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester with non-life threatening injuries.
