Newark-Wayne Hospital gets $1M in state budget

Continuing his aggressive efforts to secure critically neededfunding for the health care needs of his constituents, New York StateSenator Michael F. Nozzolio today announced that he was successful insecuring $1 million of state funding in the 2008-2009 New York State budgetfor operational costs at the Newark-Wayne Community Hospital.“This is a major victory for Newark-Wayne Community Hospital and theresidents of Wayne County who rely on the critical health care servicesprovided there,” said Senator Nozzolio. “The services provided byNewark-Wayne Community Hospital are vital for the health care needs of thecommunity and I was proud to fight to ensure this funding was included inthe final State budget.”Annette Leahy, President of Newark-Wayne Community Hospital, said, “This isgreat news for the patients, staff and community served by Newark-WayneCommunity Hospital.
