Future of Farming in NYS

County leaders to convene Monday to discuss the future of farming in NYSNYSAC to Host Press Conference at 3:15 MondayThe Blue Ribbon Task Force on the Future of Farming in New York State will meet in Albany on March 15th to discuss the circumstances surrounding the stability of farming in New York State. The Task Force was created during the New York State Association of Counties (NYSAC) Legislative Conference in February.The meeting and 3:15 Press Conference will be held on Monday at NYSAC, 540 Broadway, Albany, NY 12207. The press conference will be available via conference call. Call in number to follow.The Task Force, consisting of more than 25 county leaders from across the state, will discuss ways to address the many challenges facing the agricultural industry such as farm labor, animal welfare, the image of New York farming, the impact of the state budget and farming regulations at the state, federal, and local levels.NYSAC will host the meeting at the Associations office located at 540 Broadway, 5th floor Albany NY from 11am to 4pm (open press).
