Three Car MVA in Seneca Falls

On 03-12-10 at approx 3:22pm SFPD responded to a three car personal injury MVA at the intersection of Bridge St and West Bayard St in the Village of Seneca Falls. A vehicle being operated by Nicole Caratozzolo, age 19,of 24 California Ave Seneca Falls was eastbound on West Bayard St when her vehicle was struck by a southbound vehicle being operated by Jeffrey Kennedy, age 30, of 21 Miller St Seneca Falls. The force of the collision pushed Caratozzolo’s vehicle into a Seneca Cayuga ARC bus that was stopped for the red light on Bridge St. Kennedy’s vehicle then struck a utility pole on the eastside of the road. Caratozzolo and Kennedy were both treated at the scene by North Seneca Ambulance for possible shoulder injuries and then transported to Geneva General Hosptial where they were later released. The Seneca Cayuga ARC bus was operated by Patrice Giansante, age 63, of 134 West Bayard St Seneca Falls. Giansante and her passenger Patricia Lisk, age 57, of 157 Ovid St Seneca Falls were uninjured. Both Kennedy and Caratozzolo’s vehicles sustained extensive damage and were towed from the scene by Stevers. Giansante’s vehicle sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene. Kennedy was issued a summons for Passed Red Light and is to appear in the Town of Seneca Falls Court on 03-25-10 at 10am. SFPD were assisted at the scene by Seneca Falls Fire and Rescue.
