Seneca Falls Police Beat for 8/29

On 08/27/2010 at approx. 11:11 PM Seneca Falls Police arrested Mark R. Wattam, age 46 from 10284 State RTE 34 Weedsport, NY 13166. Wattam was stopped on a traffic stop by the Village of Jordan Police Department in Jordan, NY where officers there learned that Wattam was wanted out of the Village of Seneca Falls on an Arrest Warrant for Issuing a bad Check. Wattam was then turned over from the Jordan Police Department to the Seneca Falls PD where he was then arraigned at the Town of Seneca Falls Court in front of Judge Laird where he was then committed to the Seneca County Correctional Facility in lieu of $500 cash or $1,000 Ins Bond. Wattam is scheduled to re-appear at the Town of Seneca Falls Court on 09/08/2010 at 10:00 AM. On 08/28/2010 at approx. 1:21 AM Seneca Falls Police Department arrested Joseph A. Dingledein, age 24 from 42 Spring Street Seneca Falls, NY 13148. Officers received a 911 call from a complainant stating that she was being followed by a vehicle that was all over the road. Officers then intervened with the vehicle which was being driven by Dingledein on West Bayard Street near the Rumsey Street bridge. Officers then observed Dingledein cross the double solid line with his vehicle and at that point he was the stopped. Upon investigation Officers found Dingledein to be intoxicated. Dingledeing was then issued three UTT’s for Failure to Keep Right, DWI and Driving a Motor Vehicle with a BAC > than .08%. Dingledein was then arraigned at the Town of Seneca Falls Court in front of Judge Laird where he was then released to a third party. Dingledein is scheduled to re-appear at the Town of Seneca Falls Court on 09/02/2010 at 10:00 AM. Dingledein had a BAC of .17%. On 08/28/2010 at approx. 5:53 AM Seneca Falls Police arrested Timothy W. Sweeting, age 21 from 8 Hawley Street Seneca Falls, NY 13148. Sweeting was arrested for Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree and Criminal Mischief in the Forth Degree. Officers received a call from a home owner stating that she observed Sweeting hanging inside her window in the kitchen asking the home owner if he could spend the night on the couch. Once he left the home owner observed that there was damaged done to her screen frame which was popped off the hinges in her kitchen. Officers then located Sweeting at his residence and placed into custody. Sweeting was arraigned at the Town of Seneca Falls Court in front of Judge Mahoney where he was then committed to the Seneca County Correctional Facility in lieu of $2,500 cash or $5,000 Ins bond. Sweeting is scheduled to re-appear at the Town of Seneca Falls Court on 08/30/2010 at 2:00 PM.
