Seneca County Sheriff Deputies investigated a personal injury auto accident on Border City Road in the Town of Waterloo on Wednesday afternoon. A vehicle driven by Keith A. McNeil, age 23, of 2116 Yellow Tavern Road, Waterloo, New York, was east bound on Border City Road when he struck a vehicle being operated by Jennifer E. Thomas, age 35, of 554 Bostwick Road, that was waiting in traffic to make a left hand turn into a driveway. Thomas’s vehicle flipped over and came to rest on the north side of the road. Thomas and her two occupants were able to free themselves from the wreckage. A passenger in the vehicle 56 year old, Bonnie L. DiFederico, of 267 Border City Road, sustained a minor injury and was treated at the scene by North Seneca Ambulance. DiFederico was then transported to Geneva General Hospital. Border City Road was closed for an hour while Sheriff’s Deputies investigated the accident. Both vehicles sustained heavy damage and were towed from the scene. McNeil was issued a traffic ticket for operating a motor vehicle while using a portable electronic device and will have to appear in Waterloo Town Court on February 15th 2011 at 2 pm.
