Brewer to continue run for Seneca Co. Sheriff

Seneca County Sheriff candidate Wayne Brewer has been chosen by both the Conservative Party and the Independence Party to run as their candidate in the November election.Brewer said he was honored by their support.“My campaign has been one for fiscal conservatism (doing more with less) and restoring independence and integrity to the sheriff’s department,” Brewer noted. “Both parties’ policies are in line with the goals and values of my platform.”The Conservative Party is statewide party of approximately 155,000 individuals dedicated to the traditional American values of individual freedom, individual responsibility and individual effort. The Independence Party is dedicated to pro-business policies, fiscally sound government practices and a rational energy agenda.Brewer will be challenging Jack Stenberg. Stenberg, the current Sheriff, is running as a Republican, after switching parties. He had previously been elected as a Democrat. There is no Democrat candidate. Brewer has choosen Bob Steele to be his Undersherifff.A native of Seneca County, Brewer has a 32-year career in law enforcement and police administration that spans service appointments in New York City, Albany, and Seneca County.
