No injuries in Thursday night Junius fire

Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that at 8:20 p.m. Sheriff’s Deputies responded along with Junius Volunteer Fire Department to 429 Whiskey Hill Road in the Town of Junius for the report of a structure fire.The single wide trailer which was occupied at the time of the fire suffered extensive damage. The Fire Department determined that the cause of the fire was faulty furnace that had been started earlier in the evening. Residents of the home Yolanda A. Principio age 32 and Charles L. Rising age 40 reported the fire to 911 after smelling and seeing smoke coming from the ceiling. Property owner John Valder age 52 of 465 Whiskey Hill Rd. Clyde, NY reports that the structure is insured.Junius Volunteer Fire Department was also assisted on scene by Magee Fire Department, Clyde Fire Department and North Seneca Ambulance.
