Waterloo to host NFL All-Star Football Game

The NFA will provide a family oriented event with players, cheerleaders and fans to help fight Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. All Star cheerleaders will make an appearance and be available for fan photos during the event. Donations will be accepted throughout the gameThe NFA All Star Coaches will participate in Coach to Cure MD, an awareness building and fundraising event to fight Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Along with thousands of other college coaches across the country, the All Star staff will wear a patch during their Sept. 24 game to show their support for the cause. Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy is the most common fatal genetic disorder diagnosed during childhood and primarily affects boys. Boys and young men with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy develop progressive muscle weakness that eventually causes loss of mobility. Currently, there is no cure for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
