13-year-olds charged in Seneca Falls burglary

Two 13-year-old males were charged in connection with a burglary that occurred in the Village of Seneca Falls. Police state they responded to a local business after an employee observed the 2 teenagers standing in front of an open shed door. Upon initial interview, both admitted to police to finding the shed door open and were just looking around when inside the shed. Further investigation by police revealed that the 2 teenagers went into the open shed and stole a fire extinguisher. The teenagers were re-interviewed and both admitted to taking the fire extinguisher from inside the shed. Both teenagers were charged with Burglary in the 3rd Degree, a felony, Petit Larceny, and Conspiracy in the 5th Degree. Both were petitioned to appear in Seneca County Family Court to answer the charges.
