Seneca Falls Police Beat for 10/19

On 10/18/11 at 11:55 p.m. the Seneca Falls Police Department arrested Christopher T. Hall, age 21, of 337 East First Street, Corning, NY on a Bench Warrant issued out of Seneca Falls Town Court for Failure to Pay Fine. He was arraigned in Tyre Town Court and committed to SCCF on $200 Cash/$400 Bond. He has to appear in Seneca Falls Town Court on 10/20/11 at 10:00 a.m. The NYSP in Steuben County assisted in the arrest.On 10/19/11 at approximately 1:26 a.m. the Seneca Falls Police Department arrested Brian S. Verdehem, age 38, of 3426 Broadknoll Lane, Sugarland, Texas for DWI following a traffic stop. Police observed the vehicle that Verdehem was operating fail to stop at a stop sign at an intersection in the village. His vehicle was then observed turning onto another street without using a turn signal. Verdehem was stopped by police, whereby he failed several sobriety tests at the scene. He was placed under arrest and transported back to the station. At the police station, he was read his chemical test refusal warnings and he refused to submit to a chemical test. He was also charged with failure to use a turn signal, refusing to submit to a chemical test, and failure to stop at a stop sign. He was arraigned in Tyre Town Court and committed to SCCF on $1000 Cash/$2000 Bond. Judge Duffy has Verdehem appearing in Seneca Falls Town Court on today’s date at 9:00 a.m. due to his apparent level of intoxication.
