Walking in a Winter WineryLand

Barristers’s Bed & Breakfast has partnered with Montezuma Winery and the Montezuma Audubon Center to present the 5th annual ‘Walking in a Winter Wineryland’ on Saturday, February 5, 2012 at 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM. The day starts at Montezuma Winery with Frank Moses, Director of the Audubon Center and his staff who will take you on a guided nature hike on snowshoes through a portion of the refuge bird watching (bring your binoculars) and tracking animals. Guests will be provided with snowshoes on a first come first serve basis.Then come back to the winery to warm up with mulled wine or hot chocolate followed by a winemaker’s luncheon paired with Montezuma Winery wines. This year’s menu includes homemade bean & ham soup, tossed salad and artisan bread. Then for dessert roast home-made marshmallows on an open fire and make your own s’mores. Following lunch will be a live birds of prey presentation by Ron Walker of Friends With Feathers. Guests will learn about some of the areas native birds of prey and their habitat and the importance of wildlife conservation and management..*Space is limited-RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED prior to February 2nd. The package includes one night’s accommodations in any of our rooms, a three course breakfast in the morning, tickets for two at ‘Walking in a Winter Wineryland’, snowshoe rental and a gift from Barrister’s Bed & Breakfast. The package price is $ 229.00 plus applicable taxes.
