Wayne County Call of Duty: The War of 1812

The Wayne County Historical Society opened the first exhibit of the year, “Wayne County Call of Duty: The War of 1812” March 8 to a very enthusiastic crowd. The exhibit on the war of 1812, also called “the forgotten war”, focuses on the two battles fought in Wayne County at Sodus Point (June 19, 1813) and Pultneyville (May 14, 1814). That evening attendees were able to see the first half of the PBS special on the War of 1812. Join the historical society in the Museum of Wayne County History , April 19 at 7pm, where the second part of the PBS special, “The War of 1812” will be shown.This event is free and open to the public.
