Cell phone causes driver off the road in SF

On Monday at 2:15 pm, Seneca Falls Police investigated a one car personal injury accident on State Route 89 in the Town of Seneca Falls.The driver, James R. Crocker Jr., sustained a back injury and was transported by North Seneca Ambulance to Geneva General Hospital. Crocker stated that he looked down from the road to check his cell phone and lost control of his vehicle causing him to go off the road.Crockers vehicle struck several trees before coming to rest.Crocker was issued a traffic ticket for operation of a motor vehicle while on a mobile phone. Crocker is scheduled to appear in the Town of Seneca Falls Court on 03/07/2013 to answer to the charge.Seneca Falls Police were assisted at the scene by Seneca Falls Fire Department and North Seneca Ambulance.
