On Monday, Karl Karlsen rejected the possibility of pleading guilty and requested a trial date. A three-count indictment has charged Karlsen with two counts of murder in the second degree and one count of insurance fraud in the second degree. The indictment alleges that Karlsen caused the death of his son, Levi Karlsen, by causing a motor vehicle to fall on him.The Seneca County Court set the following dates:Defendant’s motions will be argued on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at 10:00 AM.The suppression hearing will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at 10:00 AM.The jury trial will start on Friday, October 25, 2013 at 9:00 AM with jury selection.Prosecuting the case will be Seneca County District Attorney Barry Porsch. Representing the defendant will be Lawrence L. Kasperek, Esq. of Rochester, New York.
