Clyde-Savannah gets huge win at Red Jacket

After losing to Red Jacket in last year’s postseason, the Clyde-Savannah Golden Eagles varsity football team got their revenge on the road on Saturday, defeating Red Jacket, 30-26.Red Jacket was undefeated on the season until Saturday afternoon’s four point loss. Tyler Gardner returned an interception for a touchdown while Andrew Ogrodowski ran in a score. Red Jacket QB Lee Perry threw for one touchdown to Sean Sheets who rounded out the RJ scoring with another TD on the ground.For C-S, Kam DiSanto had two touchdown catches from Golden Eagle quarterback Joe Faniel. Faniel also returned a kick-off 74 yards for a touchdown.Both teams now stand at 5-1 on the 2013 campaign.Next week, Clyde-Savannah returns home to face a difficult test in University Prep on Friday night to end their regular season slate.Red Jacket also returns home to conclude their regular season when Macus Whitman comes to town on Saturday for a 1:00 kick-off.
