Waterloo 14-year-old charged in multiple thefts

On Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at 3:30 PM the Waterloo Village Police Department made an arrest in 2 separate Robberies that occurred over thepast 2 months. Waterloo Police charged a 14 year old Waterloo Juvenile following a 4 week investigation into 2 separate robberies that occurredin September and October. The 14 year old Juvenile was charged with 2 counts of Robbery 3rd degree a Class “D” Felony and 2 counts of GrandLarceny 4th Degree a Class “E” Felony.On September 16, 2013 the 14 year old juvenile Offender is accused of forcibly stealing money from another 14 year old by physically and forcefully stealing money from the pocket of the victim. During the crime a short struggle took place between the victim and the Juvenile Offender as the victim was trying to ward off the attack. Once the Juvenile Offender stole the money the offender fled on foot.On October 5, 2013 the same 14 year old Juvenile Offender is accused of forcibly stealing money from an 11 year old youth while on Oak Street. The Juvenile Offender is accused of physically and forcefully stealing money from the 11 year old by telling the 11 year old to give him the money that he had or he was going to punch him in the face. The Juvenile Offender then forcibly took the money from the 11 year olds hand. The 11 year old youth then left the area and later reported the incident to the police.The 14 year old Juvenile Offender was brought before the Seneca County Family Court for an immediate hearing and was sent to a temporary detention facility. The 14 year old Juvenile Offender is scheduled to be back in Seneca County Family Court tomorrow.
