Seneca County Police Beat for 4/14/14

The Seneca County Sheriffs Office reports, Sheriff Deputies arrested Kerston M. Carmell age 17 of 1225 Apt B Waterloo Geneva Rd Waterloo NY for one court of criminal mischief in the 4th degree a class A misdemeanor. It is alledged that Carmell during a domestic dispute damaged personal property of another person. Carmell was arraigned before the Village of Waterloo Court, ROR’d and is to reappear before the Town Of Waterloo Court on 04/24/14 at 5 pm to answer to the charges.The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on April 12th at 12:07am, Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 22 year old Joseph L. Osterhout Jr. of 3031 Owasco Drive in Waterloo for DWI. The arrest stems from a traffic stop on East Main St in the village of Waterloo. It is alleged that Osterhout was speeding and also had a defective brake light. After further investigation, Osterhout was also charged with DWI, including operating a motor vehicle with .08%bac or greater. Osterhout was released on tickets and is to return in the Village of Waterloo Court on the 7th of May at 9AM.The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on 04/09/14 at 17:35pm Deputies arrested Derek M. Mehlenbacher age 21 of 2987 Owasco Drive, Waterloo NY on a Seneca County Probation Warrant. Mehlenbacher was arraigned by Village of Waterloo Court before Justice Mattoon and was committed to the Seneca County Jail with no bail or bond. Mehlenbacher is to appear in Waterloo Town Court at a later date.On April 11th, 2014 at 11:20pm the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department arrested Bernard W. Copper, age 44, of 45 Walnut Street Seneca Falls. Copper was stopped on Fall Street and issued a UTT for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 3rd degree. Copper was released on the ticket and is to appear in the Town of Seneca Falls Court on May 5th, 2014 at 6:00pm.Seneca Falls Police arrested Joy A. Eggleston, age 43, of 2 Fall Street, Seneca Falls on April 10th, 2014 at about 10:44pm on Fall Street for Disorderly Conduct. Eggleston was arraigned in Seneca Falls Town Court and committed to the SCCF in lieu of $250 cash/ $500 bond and is to reappear on May 8th, 2014.
