Severe weather moving through the region

The few questions from this morning about the extend of the severe weather have been answered. All the pieces now look to be in place for a significant severe weather event across the Finger Lakes region. For up to the minute live radar visit the FingerLakes1.com Local Weather Center Thunderstorms, with severe thunderstorm and tornado warnings, are firing across eastern Ohio. These storms will form into a squall line that will race east. This line should smash through the Finger Lakes between 4-7 pm, with the worst around 5 and 6 pm. Widespread damaging winds are the primary threat with this line. Isolated tornadoes are possible too, yes…but do not let the tornado threat detract away from the significance of the wind hazard. Winds over 60 mph will be widespread, and gusts of 80+mph will likely occur in some spots.
