Geneva Parks Master Plan second focus group

The City of Geneva loves cultivating opportunities for artistic and musical endeavors. If this excites you, we want to invite you to the 2nd Focus Group for the Geneva Parks Master Plan on Tuesday, July 15th from noon – 1:30 p.m. at the Geneva Neighborhood Resource Center located at 430 Exchange Street. Bring your lunch if you would like! While we feast we will focus our discussion on public art and music opportunities within our local parks. Representatives from the Public Art Committee will join us, and we hope that community members who have a passion or pulse on the scene of expression will join in the conversation. If you love your parks, the Geneva Recreation Department, Department of Public Works and the Geneva Neighborhood Resource Center would love for you to attend the second focus group for the City of Geneva Parks Master Plan, and share your ideas and experience of enjoying music or art in community parks. Your insight is valuable, and we look forward to your participation. The public is also invited to the Lakefront Park on Wednesday, July 23rd from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., before the City of Geneva Recreation Department’s Summer Concert (Steve Venuti and the Eddie DeWitt Band featuring John Coppola) to hear Hobart and William Smith interns share the recommendations for sustainable best practices for the parks and specific recommendations for Jefferson and Gulvin parks. The Parks Master Plan originated from suggestions for specific park upgrades through the City’s Innovation Hub (www.ideasgeneva.com), neighborhood associations’ attention on the parks, and increased recreational programming interest. The Master Plan will include significant parks programming and physical design components which can be found at www.genevanrc.org.
