Rylie J’s named Geneva Business of the month

The Geneva Business Improvement District is pleased to announce that Rylie J’s has been awarded and named September’s Business of the Month.Rylie J’s has been in operation since March 27th of 2009. Owners Pat & Amy McGhan, along with partners Sue & Rick Moracco, have taken their business to a new level since the day Rylie J’s doors opened for the first time. When walking into Rylie J’s customers are welcomed by a 47 foot bar sitting on 3,000 square foot of space. A stage situates the front portion of the area, and two pool tables, a dart board, and seating tastefully decorate the spacious back room. The exposed brick wall adds a rustic feel that is perfectly matched by the brass accents and dark wooden bar. The character of Rylie J’s caters to any type of customer and is sure to make all feel welcome. Aside from an extensive wine list and draft selection complete with frozen pint glasses, there is a martini menu and all the Scotch and Bourbons of even the most high class patron’s palate. However, Rylie J’s offers more than just drinks over a bar.Since starting the business, Pat McGhan knew that he wanted to give back to the Geneva community. In 2012 he began the Rylie J’s Annual Golf Tournament, which at first raised money for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. In 2011 the golf tournament steered it’s fund raising efforts toward Leukemia Research, and from 2012 until this year all proceeds went to benefit Camp Onseyawa. Rylie J’s also created the Boo & Brew 5K last year, which again supported Camp Onseyawa. This year’s Boo & Brew 5K will be held Saturday, October 25th in Downtown Geneva. In addition to raising money for multiple foundations and Camp Onseyawa, Pat has put on annual dart tournaments and other events to help out both individuals and businesses in the greater Geneva community. Pat has been in the bar and restaurant business for 27 years, and tending bar for 25. His vision for the future of Rylie J’s is to provide customers with a New York style weekend live music destination, complete with a small food menu to compliment the vast drink selection. Pat, his wife Amy, and partners Sue and Rick Moracco plan to continue serving the Geneva community, not just as a great pub with a variety of great music, but also as philanthropic members of the community at large.Rylie J’s is open seven days a week from 3:00PM-1:00AM. It is located at 38 Seneca Street and can also be found online and on Facebook.Congratulations to Rylie J’s on Seneca, Pat and Amy McGhan and Sue & Rick Moracco for being named the Geneva BID Business of the Month.
