Lyons survived a scrappy effort from visiting Clyde-Savannah on Friday night at the Atwood Gymnasium, holding on to win 46-44 in a high intensity, but sloppy basketball game that was broadcast live on FingerLakes1.TV.Damon Hunter led the Lions with 14 points while senior big man Chris Peay scored 10 and hauled down 8 rebounds. With the win, Lyons moves to 5-1 and is one game back of Red Creek who stands alone atop the Wayne County standings after beating NR-W on Friday night.For Clyde, senior Michael Turner scored 13 points and pulled down 15 rebounds, while keeping countless other rebounds alive with tipped balls.
