TCAT Aurora St. shelter to close for 18 months

Due to construction of the new Marriot Hotel, the Aurora Street shelter stop at the 100‑block of S. Aurora Street will be closed effective Mon., Jan. 19, for about 18 months.The bus stop will be relocated to the 300 block of E. Martin Luther King Jr./E. State St., by the Community School of Music and Arts. The temporary bus stop is a one‑ minute walk from the Aurora Street shelter. Passengers are asked to travel north toward the Ithaca Commons and take right on the north side of East State Street.TCAT is pleased to announce that the hotel developers, as part of the construction project, are planning to build a brand new, well‑lighted and heated shelter for TCAT passengers that will be located near the present Aurora Street shelter.In the meantime, TCAT apologizes for any inconvenience.
