Luce endorsed as candidate for Seneca Co. Sheriff

The Seneca County Republican Committee met March 4, and unanimously endorsed Tim Luce, of Waterloo, as the Republican candidate for Seneca County Sheriff. Mr. Luce also received letters of endorsement and support from former Sheriff Tom Fox, Waterloo Police Chief Doyle Marquart, and Seneca County Chief Deputy John Cleere. They cited Mr. Luce’s years of service both with the Waterloo PD and as a Deputy Sheriff. His personal qualifications of honesty, integrity, common sense were also given as reasons for endorsement.Some of Mr. Luce’s accomplishments in his career include helping Sheriff Stenberg with achieving state accreditation for the Sheriff’s Department, processing pistol permits, organizing and implementing the County Office Building Security system. Mr. Luce is a lifelong resident of Seneca County, and resides in the village with his wife, Kathy. They have two daughters, Lindsey Luce Sholly of Waterloo, and Stephanie Luce of Cohoes.Following his endorsement, Mr. Luce thanked Chairman Lee Davidson and the committee for their support, saying, “I am honored by the outpouring of support from this committee and the community, and it is my desire and goal to run an agency that Seneca County can continue to be proud of.”
