Romulus ousted; Mynderse, Dundee girls advance

The defending NYS Class D champion Romulus Lady Warriors saw their season come to an abrupt end at the hands of Jasper-Troupsburg on Wednesday night, 62-57. Mackenzie Prutsman put her team on her back to pour in 46 points, all but 16 of J-T’s total output. The loss was just the Lady Warriors’ 2nd in the last two years but dashes their chance at back-to-back sectional, and state titles. It was also the end of an outstanding season and career for Romulus’ double-double machine Zoe McDonald. Also on Wednesday night in girls’ sectional action…Mynderse 67, East Rochester 18* Jerry Anderson’s Lady Blue Devils return to their second straight Class C1 title game.
