SCP Presents ‘Things My Mother Taught Me’

Award winning director Eric Jansen has assembled an outstanding cast and crew for the opening production of Seneca Community Player’s 43rd season. “Things My Mother Taught Me”, a brand new comedy from the author of “Nana’s Naughty Knickers” will take place April 24-26, May 1-2 at Mynderse Academy, Seneca Falls. It takes a generational look at relationships and how sometimes parents are passing their best lessons on to their children without even meaning to.Olivia and Gabe are moving into their first apartment together. They’ve just packed up all of their belongings and driven halfway across the country to start a new life together in Chicago. Their moving day doesn’t go exactly as planned, though, and things become slightly more complicated when all of their parents show up to help! Can a two bedroom apartment contact all of the love, laughs, worry and wisdom that’s about to happen?Funny and touching, this one will make you laugh out loud and fall in love all over again.The cast will include Maria Coleman of Auburn as Olivia Keegan, Peter Brown of Seneca Falls as Max Mirowski, Michael Jansen of Clifton Springs as Gabe Lawson, Wendy Varricchio-Fletcher of Seneca Falls as Lydia Lawson, Chad Meyer of Waterloo as Wyatt Lawson, Carrie Massey of Waterloo as Karen Keegan and newcomer to SCP, Jeff Cook of Fairport as Carter Keegan. Assisting Director Jansen will be producer Wendy Varricchio-Fletcher, stage manager Dawn Jansen, technical director Josh Jansen, and sound and lighting operators Christie Dickenson and Damon Fletcher.The all-star staff also will include award winning set designer: Josh Jansen, award winning costumer Karin Lomax and award winning props mistress Jane Roberts. Director Eric Jansen, a man of many talents, also will serve as sound and lighting designer, master carpenter and scenic charge artist.Rhonda Pollino is in charge of publicity, and Bobby Bly-Owens of posters, programs and tickets. Donna Russell will serve as head of house.Set Construction will be by Eric Jansen, Peter Brown, Michael Jansen, Dawn Jansen, Wendy Varricchio-Fletcher, Damon Fletcher, Maria Coleman, Chad Meyer, Jeff Thomas Cook and Paige Jansen while the set crew will include Paige Jansen, Damon Fletcher and Rick Manger.Action!!Lights!
