Tompkins dog shooter sent back to jail

A Tompkins County man who shot a dog in the head twice last fall was sent back to jail on Friday after he was accused of violating the terms of his probation. In January, Wood was sentenced to 120 days in jail and five years of probation. At some point since, he was released from jail. He’s now in trouble with the law again after a disturbing incident and was sent back to the jail by Judge Joe Cassidy on Friday morning.Things escalated to the point at which the security guards called Ithaca police. Wood then called someone on his cell phone and yelled that “two (expletive) Ithaca PD pigs out here harassing me,” according to the probation report.Read more at the Ithaca Voice website.
