Seneca Falls Police Beat for 8/31/15

On 8/20/2015 at approximately 7:00 am, the Town of Seneca Falls Police arrested Lawrence J. Scesny Jr, age 48 of 1875 Auburn Road Lot 11 in Seneca Falls, for Disorderly Conduct and Harassment 2nd, both violations. The arrest stems from a domestic incident where Scesny is accused of slapping a Town resident in the face and head. Scesny was released on Appearance tickets and is scheduled to answer the charges at the Town of Seneca Falls Court on a later date. On 8/24/2015 at approximately 7:08 pm, the Town of Seneca Falls Police arrested Joseph A. Melito, age 61 of 36 Maple Street in Seneca Falls, for Petit Larceny, a misdemeanor. Melito is accused of taking merchandise from Kinney Drugs without paying for the merchandise which was valued at $7.99. Melito was released on an Appearance ticket and is scheduled to answer the charge on September 7th, 2015 at 6:00 pm. On 8/26/2015 at 2:49 am,the Town of Seneca Falls Police arrested Jay A. Clary, age 30 of no permanent address, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th, Criminal Impersonation 2nd, and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana. The arrest stems from a complaint that Clary was trespassing onto a Town of Seneca Falls business property. Clary was arraigned at the Town of Seneca Falls Court and remanded to the Seneca County Correctional Facility on $1000 cash/ 2,000 insurance bond. Clary will reappear in Town Court on August 31st, 2015 at 5:00 pm. On 8/29/2015 at 7:07 pm, the Town of Seneca Falls Police arrested Jordan N. Maddox, age 26 of 177 West Gibson Street in Canandaigua, on three separate Bench Warrants. The Warrants were the result of Maddox failing to appear for her scheduled Court appearances at the Town of Seneca Falls Court. Maddox was arraigned in Town of Seneca Falls Court on the Warrants and remanded to the Seneca County Correctional Facility on $3,000 cash/ $6,000 insurance bond. Maddox is to reappear in Town Court on September 3rd, 2015 at 5:00 pm. On 8/29/2015 at 11:30 pm, the Town of Seneca Falls Police arrested Joshua R. Goodman, age 35 of 2 Jay Street in Seneca Falls, for Endangering the Welfare and Criminal Obstruction of Breathing following a domestic dispute. Goodman is accused of choking a town resident in front of several children who were present during the altercation. Goodman was arraigned in Town of Seneca Falls Court and released on his own recognizance. Goodman is to reappear in Court on September 9th at 10:00 am.
