2,700 inquire about employment at Lago in Tyre

Lago Resort & Casino partners Thomas C. Wilmot, Sr., Wilmorite Chairman, and M. Brent Stevens, Managing Member of Peninsula Pacific, announced today that more 2,700 people – including 2,410 New Yorkers – have signed up on the Lago website to inquire about employment at Lago once it is built.”Interest in obtaining a job at Lago is through the roof, particularly among people closest to Lago and in the Finger Lakes region,” Wilmot said. “More than 900 Seneca County residents have expressed interest through the website about working at Lago, along with more than 1,000 from Wayne, Ontario and Cayuga Counties.”We have repeatedly said that Lago will create 1,800 direct and indirect construction jobs and then 1,800 permanent direct and indirect jobs when it’s built and operating,” Wilmot said. “When construction resumes, hundreds of local union tradespeople will have jobs helping to build what will soon become New York’s finest destination resort and casino. “Once completed, Lago will be seeking to hire as many local residents as possible. We want our neighbors to have the opportunity to obtain good paying, quality jobs from entry level to management level,” Wilmot said. “We are delighted – though not surprised – at the overwhelming interest in Lago jobs by young, middle-aged and older residents from neighborhoods close to Lago and from communities throughout the Finger Lakes region.””All of us at Lago are eager to get back to work and to employ the wonderful people of the Finger Lakes region in building and operating Lago,” Stevens said. “The need for good jobs in the region is great, and the enthusiasm and eagerness for those jobs among local residents is even greater. We’re excited to continue moving forward as quickly as possible.”Anyone interested in a job at Lago Resort & Casino should visit this website: http://lagoresortandcasino.com/careers
