Prostitution arrests in Cayuga Co.

Cayuga County Sheriff David Gould reports that on Wednesday, November 4, the Sheriff’s Office and the New York State Police did arrest numerous subjects as part of an ongoing investigation into incidents of prostitution in Southern Cayuga County. There have been several recent complaints made by citizens of the county that stem from the prostitution trade targeting agricultural workers at local farms. Detectives from the Sheriff’s Office, along with New York State Police Investigators, were able to make a total of 4 arrests as a result of this joint investigation. More arrests are pending.Charged were:Kyle J. Lee age 42 of 524 Davis Ave. Endicott NY. Arrested in the Town of Locke for one count of Patronizing a Prostitute in the 3rd Degree. He was processed and released with an appearance ticket returnable to the Locke Town Court on 12/02/15 at 1:00 pm. (No photo available at the time of the media release).Tiasha Vellejo age 24 of 800 Pond St. Syracuse NY. Arrested in the Town of Venice for one count each of Prostitution and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree. She was processed and turned over to the Village of Newark Police related to an open warrant. Vallejo was also issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Venice Town Court on 12/7/15 at 6:00 pm.Scott C. Sweeney age 42 of 3538 E. Genesee St. Auburn NY. Arrested in the Town of Locke for one count of Patronizing a Prostitute in the 3rd Degree. He was processed and released with an appearance ticket returnable to the Locke Town Court on 11/18/15 at 1:00 pm. (No photo available at the time of the media release). Joshua L. Hamn age 30 of 125 ½ W 1st St. Syracuse NY. Arrested by the New York State Environmental Conservation Police as a result of this investigation in the Town of Venice for Possessing a Loaded Firearm in a Motor Vehicle. He was processed and released with an appearance ticket. (No photo available at the time of the media release). Members of the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office and New York State Police will continue to work together to address this problem.
