Woman passed out at Penn Yan Elementary charged

Natalie D. Tette (Redick), age 33 of Penn Yan, was arrested by Penn Yan police on Wednesday evening after a lengthy investigation.On November 18th, at about 10:30 pm, Penn Yan police officers responded to the Penn Yan Elementary School for the report of an unresponsive female in the driver’s seat of a vehicle. The female was subsequently treated by EMS and was transported to Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital for treatment.Police investigated the incident, including interviewing Tette and multiple other subjects, gathering and reviewing surveillance video, and obtaining medical records.The investigation ultimately revealed Tette to have been impaired by multiple drugs.Tette was subsequently charged with felony driving while ability impaired by drugs, felony aggravated unlicensed operation first degree, failing to notify DMV of address change and operating in violation of a conditional license.The DWAI and AUO charges were elevated to felony level due to Tette having a prior criminal conviction for DWAI Drugs in the City of Canandaigua in October of 2014.Tette was arraigned in Penn Yan Village Court and was remanded to the Yates County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash and $20,000 bond. Tette will reappear in Village Court at a later date to answer the charges.
