Cayuga County PD arrests 3 on drug charges

Sheriff David Gould reports the following felony arrests related to the investigation of illicit drug sales and possession in Cayuga County. These cases are not related to each other and consist of separate investigations and arrests. Eric M. Adams – age 49 – 14513 Fancher Avenue in Fair Haven, NY. Adams is charged with two counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree, having illegally sold heroin on two occasions. He was arrested on 12/31/15, arraigned in Sterling Town Court, and committed to the Cayuga County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond. Scott R. Morey – age 26 – 3 School Street in Moravia, NY. Morey is charged with two counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree, having illegally sold heroin on two occasions. He was arrested on 1/2/16, arraigned in Moravia Village Court, and committed to the Cayuga County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash bail or $40,000 bond. Ponel E. Jackson – age 22 – no address listed. Jackson is charged with one count of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree. Jackson did possess several individual bags containing cocaine while being booked into the Cayuga County Jail on 11/21/15. He was arrested on 12/30/15, arraigned in Sennett Town Court, and remanded to the Cayuga County Jail where he was being held on unrelated charges. All three cases have been turned over to the Cayuga County District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
