Generations Bank Chairman to receive Eagle Scout honor

Generations Bank is proud to announce Robert E. Kernan, Chairman of the Board of Directors, will be honored by the Seneca Waterways Council, Boy Scouts of America, with the Outstanding Eagle Scout Award. The reception will take place on January 12, 2016 at The Burgundy Basin in Pittsford. The National Eagle Scout Association Outstanding Eagle Scout Award (NOESA) is a prestigious recognition granted by the local Council (Seneca Waterways) to Eagle Scouts who have demonstrated outstanding achievement at the local, state or regional level. Often, these men have devoted a lifetime to their profession, avocation, community, and beliefs, at great sacrifice to themselves and their families.“Annually our Council presents one Outstanding Eagle Scout Award to an Eagle Scout who, guided by the values of Scouting, has made a meaningful impact in his lifetime through continued service to his community,” said Scout Executive and CEO, Stephen T. Hoitt. “We are proud to present this award to Bob Kernan as he truly exemplifies the qualities of an Eagle Scout. Mr. Kernan’s tireless devotion to our Finger Lakes Region has shown that the path of an Eagle Scout lasts a lifetime.” According to the National Eagle Scout Association, NOESA recipients must be Eagle Scouts in good standing with the Boy Scouts of America and must either be registered with or have their primary residence within the boundaries of the nominating council. Each recipient’s actions and accomplishments elevate the stature of Eagle Scouts in the public eye, and each recipient is held to the standards set forth in the Scout Oath, Scout Law and national BSA standards for membership.About Generations Bank Generations Bank has partnered with businesses and residents in the Northern Finger Lakes region since its founding in 1870, while maintaining a strong commitment to each and every community in which it operates.
