W-FL Tuesday: Reds take first place as MA upset

Mynderse entered this week tied with Newark at the top of the Finger Lakes East standings. A trip to Ontario on Tuesday night would change their status as league leaders, however, as the Blue Devils were outscored 17-5 in the final quarter to ultimately fall to the Wayne Eagles 49-45. The Newark Reds would take advantage of the Mynderse loss by defeated Midlakes to take sole possession of first with just two league games remaining. Also on Tuesday night, Pal-Mac rode a hot-shooting night to run away from Waterloo in a game that was streamed live on FingerLakes1.TV. The win became even more significant after fellow Class B1 team Penn Yan was upset at Geneva. Penn Yan was ranked 4th in B1 sectional points with Pal-Mac at 5th. The win will narrow the gap as these two FL East teams battle for the coveted top 4 seed which guarantees a home game in the quarterfinal round of the postseason tournament. You can catch the Red Raiders in action against the Indians below.
