Police charge teen in Geneva, other suspect at large

Police in Geneva report that a 16 year old has been arrested in connection with the recent string of burglaries in the city of Geneva. Aaron Godwin-Smith, 16, of Geneva has officially been charged with burglary in the 2nd degree. Geneva Police say that Godwin-Smith, along with one other person traveled throughout the North Street, East North Street, and Genesee Street areas breaking into a total of 15 homes. At this point, the investigation is ongoing and police say that more charges are possible.Godwin-Smith is being held pending arraignment and additional charges are on the way as authorities continue to search for the second suspect. Police say that right now, the second suspect remains at large.Geneva Police encourage anyone with information about the suspected burglaries to call the Geneva Police dispatch line at 315-789-1111.
