Waterloo man charged after trying to smuggle pot into jail

On Tuesday at about 11:30 am the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit arrested Joshua A. Morgan, age 20 of 105 1/2 East Main Street in Waterloo, on charges of promoting prison contraband in the second degree, a class A misdemeanor, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation. It is alleged that Morgan attempted to smuggle a quantity of marijuana into the Seneca County Correctional Facility after he was taken into custody on a warrant for violation of probation. Morgan was issued an appearance ticket and is to appear in the Romulus Town Court on March 11th at 10 am.
