Seneca Co. Wendy Long nominated for US Senate

The New York Republican State Convention met Friday at the Buffalo Marriott Harborcenter for the primary purpose of designating a candidate for United States Senate. Following the nomination of attorney and former Supreme Court Clerk Wendy E. Long, several notable persons seconded the nomination with personal endorsements of Ms. Long. The State Committee voted to designate Wendy Long to be the Republican candidate for U.S. Senate by acclamation.Representing Seneca County at the Convention were County Republican Chairman E. Lee Davidson and Mary Davidson, delegates from Assembly District 132, and Sue Ann Fisher and Tiffany Folk, delegates from Assembly District 131. State GOP Chairman Ed Cox remarked about the nomination of Wendy Long, “This year’s election is critical to the future of our nation. Wendy Long has dedicated her life to the principles of lower taxes, a pro-growth economy and the Constitution, while 40-year professional politician Chuck Schumer is committed to food ingredients and the size of airplane seats. I am confident that the next President of the United States will be a Republican, and I can’t think of a better partner to get America back on the right track than a Republican Senator from New York.”
