Newark woman steals money from relative

On Monday, March 21st the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reports that a Newark woman was arrested for petit larceny following an investigation into stolen money in Phelps.Kayla Schroeder, 28, of Newark was charged with petit larceny after she allegedly stole money from a relative she resides with. The amount stolen was reported to be $220. She was arraigned in Phelps Town Court and was released on her own recognizance. She will appear in Phelps Town Court at a later date to answer the charge.
