Syracuse man arrested for DWI in Ovid

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on March 18th at approximately 8:35 pm a Syracuse man was arrested for driving while intoxicated on State Route 96 in the Town of Ovid. Deputies arrested Craig Flowers, 26, of Syracuse after a traffic stop that occurred on the same day shortly after 8 pm. Deputies observed the vehicle operated by Flowers moving at a high rate of speed northbound on State Route 96 in the Town of Ovid. Deputies learned through the traffic stop that Flowers was driving while intoxicated, with a BAC of .08 or higher. He was also charged with aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree, speed in zone, and uninspected motor vehicle.He was released on appearance tickets and will appear in Ovid Town Court on April 19th to answer the charges.
