Cayuga County Sheriff searching for missing teen

The Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office reported a missing person on Wednesday morning. They believe the missing person, Michael LaTour, 16, last seen at the Elmcrest Children’s Center in Syracuse is likely somewhere in Auburn. It is reported that LaTour walked away from the Elmcrest Children’s Center in Syracuse, where he was placed by Cayuga County Department of Social Services. A missing person’s report was filed with the Syracuse Police Department, but a bench warrant has been issued in Cayuga County for his arrest. He is believed to be in the Auburn area — possibly in the area of Chase or Orchard Streets.LaTour is 6 feet tall and weighs around 150 pounds. Police say he has brown hair and blue eyes, and several tattoos on his hands and arms.Anyone with information is urged to call (315) 253-1222 or (800) 244-9111. Those who live inside Cayuga County can dial 911 — if they have information on LaTour’s whereabouts.
