Heroin investigation ends in Geneva with arrests

The Geneva Police Department reports that a three month investigation into the possession and sale of heroin in the city came to an end, with the arrest of four Geneva residents. During two traffic stops the Geneva Police Department Drug Enforcement Unit along with marked units seized approximately 100 bags of heroin packaged for sale, along with $2,200 in cash from four suspects. The two vehicles were also seized. The following individuals were arrested and charged:Eddie Hernandez-Rosario, 33, of Geneva was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree — a class B felony.Osmary Escalera-Espada, 28, of Geneva was arrested for criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree — a class B felony.Yokohiro Vidal-Ortiz, 32, of Geneva was arrested for criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree — a class B felony.Jan Andujar-Cintron, 22, of Geneva was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree — a class B felony.All individuals are being held on $25,000 cash, or $50,000 bond bail.
