Syracuse woman arrested after stealing from Junius business

Seneca County Sheriff Tim Luce reports, on April 9th at approximately 4:45 pm deputies arrested a Syracuse woman after allegedly trying to steal from a Junius business. Deputies say Shyasia West, age 18, of Syracuse was arrested after allegedly possessing tools to facilitate burglary. West was charged with petit larceny and two counts of possession of burglars tools. West allegedly stole items from a Town of Junius businesses, as well as being in possession of the tools used to facilitate larceny.West was released on appearance tickets and is scheduled to appear at the Town of Junius Court on May 10th at 7:00 pm. Deputies were assisted at the scene by the New York State Police.
