A Waterloo man has been charged in a chase that started on State Route 490 and ended off of 31F. New York State Police say that shortly after noon, troopers attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation.When the troopers attempted to stop the vehicle, which was being operated by Steven Foulkrod, 24, of Waterloo – he led them on a chase. The pursuit began on State Route 490 and ended at Route 31F on Harwood lane, according to troopers.When the pursuit ended, the two occupants of the vehicle exited and fled on foot. State Police utilized a helicopter and K9 unit to locate Foulkrod, and take him into custody. The female passenger has not yet been taken into custody, but the investigation into the matter is still underway, according to troopers.Foulkrod was charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated unlicensed operation – in the first degree, reckless driving, and a multitude of traffic violations. State Police were assisted by Monroe County Sheriff’s, as well as East Rochester Police.He was arraigned and remanded to the Ontario County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond.
