Penn Yan woman charged with DWI after accident

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on April 22nd at approximately 9:00 pm a Penn Yan resident was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated following a one car motor vehicle accident. Deputies report that Jessica A. Robideau, 29, of Penn Yan was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated with a BAC of .18% or higher. She was also charged with driving while intoxicated, and failure to use designated lane. Deputies were originally called to the area of State Route 96A and West River Road, in the Town of Fayette for the report of a motor vehicle accident. They reported that Robideau had struck a sign and went off the road into the ditch. Upon further investigation, deputies determined Robideau to be under the influence of alcohol. She was issued appearance tickets, and will appear in the Fayette Town Court on May 18th at 7pm to answer to the charges.The Seneca County Sheriff’s Department was assisted at the scene by State Troopers, Border City Fire Department, and North Seneca Ambulance
