Deputies in Wayne County report that a Rochester man was arrested following a traffic stop on State Route 104 for driving while under the influence of drugs and alcohol.Richard A. Lewis Jr., 31, of Flower City Park in Rochester was stopped on Route 104 when deputies observed him speeding. He failed a roadside field sobriety test, which prompted him to be transported to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office for further testing.
Upon further investigation by a drug recognition expert from the New York State Police – it was determined that Lewis was under the influence of drugs and alcohol. A quantity of concentrated cannabis was also located in the vehicle Lewis was operating.
He was released on appearance tickets for speeding, driving while ability impaired by drugs and alcohol, and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree. He will answer the charges in Huron Town Court at a later date.
