Three men beat, rob victim in Ithaca Wednesday night

On Wednesday at about 9:45 pm Ithaca Police Department officers responded to the 300 block of West Buffalo Street regarding a robbery that had just occurred. Officers arrived on scene and spoke to the victim, who was bleeding from a laceration on his face.The victim advised he was walking on West Buffalo Street when three unidentified males passed by him in the same direction. The victim advised that the last male to pass him suddenly turned around and punched him multiple times in the face. The other two males turned around and also punched the victim. The victim tried to run away, however the three males grabbed him and forcefully removed his backpack. The three males then fled the area on foot.The victim then contacted police with the assistance of a motorist who stopped to help the victim.The victim was evaluated by Bangs Ambulance but declined medical treatment.
