It’s the news that Orange fans wish they didn’t hear for another 12 months. But ESPN’s Chad Ford is reporting that Malachi Richardson is telling NBA teams during his interviews at the scouting combine that he will stay in the draft.
Both Malachi Richardson & Cheick Diallo told teams in interviews today that they've decided to stay in the draft.

Richardson, in his one season at SU, helped to lead Syracuse to the Final Four in March. If he doesn’t hire and agent or officially declare for the NBA Draft he would likely return to Syracuse for his sophomore season. If not, Syracuse is unusually thin at at guard positions heading into the 2016-17 season.Syracuse would have only three guards on the roster in Franklin Howard, Colorado State transfer John Gillon and incoming freshman Tyus Battle. There has not yet been an official statement or decision announced by Malachi Richardson.
